Baseball Camp in Hungary

Hungary has a thirst for baseball and English.  Earlier this year I was in Wustenrot, Germany speaking with a German missionary in Hungary about the best ways for church planters to make contact with locals in Hungary.  Without hesitation he said baseball and English. 

Hungary is about the size of Indiana, but with a population of 10 million people.  It is a landlocked European country bordered by Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, and Slovakia.  The people of Hungary have a passion for sports.  Hungary has the highest number of Summer Olympic gold medals per capita.  Only 7 countries have won more medals, all of which have much larger populations, the USA, Russia, England, France, Italy, China, and Germany.

Kontaktmission will be running a baseball camp July 11-18, 2010 in Hodmezovasarhely, Hungary.  We will send a team from the USA to conduct the camp and teach english.  Participation in this trip is open to anyone 18 years or older.

Short Term Mission Trips with Kontaktmission

In order to plant more churches, we need to send more missionaries.  In order to send more missionaries, we need to get lots of people thinking about European missions, especially young people.  So we're announcing KM's new short-term trips effort for this purpose,
